Total solar eclipse in Spain

Stanislav Korotkiy — scientific director of Ka-Dar Observatory and Astroverts; asteroid discoverer; popularizer; leader of 100+ astronomical expeditions worldwide, including seven total solar eclipse trips. Sergey Spraitser — expedition leader with 15+ years of experience worldwide; climber, freediver, photographer, amateur astronomer.

The tour runs 7–15 August 2026. On 12 August 2026 a total solar eclipse crosses Spain — excellent visibility odds and easy access. Join a unique tour: watch the eclipse from a 14th-century castle (Palacio de los Luna, Illueca), with the Perseid meteor shower near its peak the same nights. Programme includes Barcelona and Montserrat, three nights in the castle inside the eclipse path (with a weather backup bus within ~200 km), Madrid, telescope observing, lectures and workshops on astronomy and eclipse / meteor photography.
